Hi James, some people has been working on it in sandboxes in the past (august, Yingqi Tang).
I have recently started just writing out the Format classes, but for the Execute request they are likely to be very incomplete at this stage. Also, ofcourse the Format classes are just a part of the building blocks for a WPS client. More work to be expected though in the next weeks/months.
