In order for the internal GPS in iphone/android/ mobile devices available in OpenLayers, you need to have GPS device (Objective-C for iphone / Java for Android) javascript bindings.
BTW, 1. Geolocation API Specification (http://dev.w3.org/geo/api/spec-source.html) 2. html5-geolocation (http://mobile.tutsplus.com/tutorials/mobile-web-apps/html5-geolocation/) are not using GPS internal, it using internet connection for Geolocation i.e. WWW Geolocation. Good example in OpenLayers using WWW Geolocation in mobile is in the OpenLayers 2.11 RC. example. Have a look on mobile_jq.html (jquery mobile). Open it and press the locate footer button.
