[OpenLayers-Users] stylemap overrides onselect feature style

Hi All

I'm using this to make the pointRadius bigger:

                                        var styleMap = new
OpenLayers.StyleMap(OpenLayers.Util.applyDefaults(
                                                        {pointRadius: 16},
                                                                        
OpenLayers.Feature.Vector.style["default"]));

But when I select a feature the feature is not highlighed with the
blue standard style, why is that, and how can I override it, so it
does?
