You could create a GeoRSS feed of your markers and then create a GeoRSS layer from them.
See http://www.free-map.org.uk/course/ewt/openlayers2.xhtml (these are some notes for a general web development course. They are not fully finished but hopefully give you a rough idea what to do) Also see a demo at http://www.free-map.org.uk/course/ewt/examples/ol/maptest.html Nick [email protected] wrote: ----- To: [email protected] From: alex123 Sent by: [email protected] Date: 16/11/2011 10:04AM Subject: [OpenLayers-Users] How to get a node from osm and add a popup marker to it? Hi, I'm new to openlayers. I know that OSM uses openlayers to show its data, but that layer is deactivated by default (which is not a problem to activate it). The problem is that i want to add a popup marker to some nodes on my private osm server. So is there a way to get/retrieve/search for a node and work over it? Or at least to get its position and place a marker in that place? -- View this message in context: http://osgeo-org.1803224.n2.nabble.com/How-to-get-a-node-from-osm-and-add-a-popup-marker-to-it-tp6999852p6999852.html Sent from the OpenLayers Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/openlayers-users
