Is this with OpenLayers 2.11? We had a regression in 2.11 that was fixed soon after the release. Maybe you should give the latest version from github a try. Andreas. P.S. With Google, it doesn't surprise me as we cannot control when they perform zooms or pans. But with layers inheriting from Layer.Grid, you should not be seeing this problem. Andreas.
