Hi,

It's possible to change the visibility of features by their attributes.
Apply a styleMap with rules to the vectorlayer and modify the rules
display property by your checkboxes.

See this example
Switching of the Feature Visibility, group values

Betreff: [OpenLayers-Users] Hide/Show different features in one Layer ?

hi users

I have many different features on my vector layer and I want to hide/show
them by checboxes on my interface.

my q is: do I have to separate them in different layers in GeoServer ? or
there is another way to do that ?
also if I have to separate them, how can I display them together on my first
view ? (using WFS protocol ) . I read about grouping layers but I'm not sure
if that's help.

thanks a lot.
