Hello, I would like to know if there is any scheduled improvement on OL Marker / Icon to accept sprite images. This means, to be able to specify an image URL + the x,y position within the image itself.
In Gmaps, is called google.maps.MarkerImage class. If anyone knows a way to achieve this in OL i will appreciate, to reduce the amount of http requests since i have to load a bunch of different icons so i merged them into a sprite.
