I never said webGL should be denied by OL, I just said there should be improvements on classical methods as well as the methods that will use webGL. It was pointed out, using closure compiler decision is one of the improvements for both sides. It might improve the performance.
On the other hand when it comes to engineering applications accuracy and precision is important. Yet, with looking at current GIS technologies (including OL), it looks like applying some criterias is not an easy job. The first problem comes with the difference between desktop and web applications. Processing seamless data and applying complex tasks on a web application still looks far from the current structure unfortunately. That makes me think that GIS will stay as GIS and never expand its borders. -- View this message in context: http://osgeo-org.1560.n6.nabble.com/Future-of-OpenLayers-or-OL3-tp5017680p5017829.html Sent from the OpenLayers Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/openlayers-users
