Just a further thought on this - the problem looks to me to be at
geoserver end where it is converting lat/lon into the native projection
you are saving it in. As mentioned in earlier message, you could solve
by keeping vectors in -180:180 range on OL side; you could re-project
yourself on OL side; or you could look hard at projection used on the
server layer. In a situation where a vector crosses the 180 line, you
will find some server-side projection tend to work better than others.
