Well for proxy point of view, you have to make sure that your proxy will
pass through a request to that server. Make an explicit request via the
proxy and check.
There should be an entry in the NET tab. Open with layer turned off by
default. Open the net tab and clear. Now turn the layer on. You should
see POST to your proxy in the NET tab, with the mapserver URL as
parameter. A proxy problem would have no response tab.
