Phil, Thank you very much for your reply. I had sort of come to the conclusion that it wasn't using the proxy, but I was not sure how to fix that. I tried including the "/cgi-bin/proxy.py?url=" in the url for the printProvider, but it did not change anything. I will take a look at the docs you have recommended.

You have to work through OL components to get the automatic redirect to proxy and I dont think the printprovider will do that. Add override-ext-ajax maybe in your build?
