Using the NET tab in firebug or chrome developer tool, look at the URL
generated by creating the map.
Firstly, the response (if any) might give you some clues. Otherwise try
copying the URL (in firebug that is right-click, copy location off the
call in the net tab) directly into a browser and see what happens. I am
guessing you getting a malformed URL which should give you some clues.
