[OpenLayers-Users] Search radius for editing line strings

I'm writing an application to edit linestrings. The problem is that you 
have to point very accurately at a line to select it. Is there a way to 
enlarge the search radius around the lines, so one can click somewhere 
in the neighbourhoud and yet get it selected?
