Hello Phil, thanks for your reply, I work on GeoNode ( a django based GIS platform) and I'm running the django development server. There is a line of code in the proxy/views.py that is the following: url = "".join([ogc_server_settings.LOCATION, downstream_path, path])
where LOCATION = http://localhost:8080/geoserver/ I'm newbie to openlayers and GeoServer and I'm not sure if I answered correct on your question.
