I am using SVG since that worked for my printing which uses wkhtmltopdf. I am going to try simplification. Haven't heard of vector tiles. Do you have any link to examples, documentation, etc?

Thanks,
Jim

I would strongly suggest that you try the canvas render for that many polygons. Also you might want to consider getting them as needed rather than all at once. For example, you could serve them as vector tiles.

    Hi,

I think complete coverage is about 1700 polygons using SVG. Have
only tested on firefox and chrome on linux. Chrome works fine.
Firefox works if I click continue on the warning alert.

    How many is many?

What renderer are you using? SVG? CANVAS?

I know that some versions ago, FF had some performance issue with
    SVG...

        Hi,

I am trying to load a vector layer with many polygons and it
causes an unresponsive script dialog in firefox. Aside from
simplifying my vector layer is there any solution to this
problem. If I click continue on the warning the layer loads
        successfully.

        Thanks,
        Jim
