In Safari, I see:

[Error] TypeError: Type error
        warn (OpenLayers.js, line 896)
        global code (OpenLayers.js, line 896)

[Error] TypeError: undefined is not a constructor (evaluating 'new
OpenLayers.Layer.WMS( "OpenLayers WMS",
                "http://vmap0.tiles.osgeo.org/wms/vmap0?";, {layers: 'basic'})')
        init (vector-formats.html, line 108)
        onload (vector-formats.html, line 181)

Chrome shows similar errors.

For whatever reason, the page does seem to work for me in FireFox (??)
