thanks for investigating this, would you be able to provide the test
script here or propose it as an addition to tests/data/regressions?

I haven't been able to find a bug referencing this directly, but seem to
remember there was a suggestion there were issues reconnecting, maybe a
part of a larger issue that manifested as ITS#9205 and ITS#8427?
