Good point about the docs and original intent. I had to fix up the patch a bit, but it's in RE23 now. I'd like to push out 2.3.37 very soon, please test the RE23 source now. 2.3.36 has been holding up pretty well; with the couple of small patches for .37 we should be able to make that the new Stable release.
