Can anyone give me a quick tutorial on building openldap 2.3 with symbol tables intact? I'm running gdb on a core file and not getting anything useful with it. The closest thing I see in ./configure is --enable-debug, but I don't think that's what I am looking for.
If you are using gcc to build slapd, then you want to set CFLAGS (environment variable) to "-g -O2" before running configure.
