If nobody objects, I'd like to propose integrating the extra logging added
in search of ITS#4423 (e.g. the diff from syncprov.c 1.56.2.31 vs. 1.150).
It doesn't significantly hurt those without DEBUG_SYNC on and can be quite
helpful to those actually trying to debug sync...
