Hi,
I followed this tutorial:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/OpenLDAPServer
I use OpenLDAP on Ubuntu then.
My goal would be to add thousands of sample users (with randomly generated source I made with a SHELL script)

I would like to add users without stopping the LDAP server.

I read several documentation including the "LDAP administration" book (from O'Reilly). Is extracting the user fields (and filling the fields with my sample data) of the example and then adding it with "lpapadd" the right solution?

The goal is to test the response time for the load we expect (between one and two thousands entries) and also _learn_ manipulating openLDAP entries.

Optionally, if you had some "ldap entry manipulation" tutorial, I would be happy to know it. The samples in the documentation I found are mostly about adding one entry or two...

Thank you.
