You may want to save yourself some time. See http://staff.telkomsa.net/packages/OpenLDAP.repo The packages (2.4.20 at present) at http://staff.telkomsa.net/packages/rhel5/openldap/ come with an internal copy of db4.8. Regards, Buchan
