How to make a simple bind using ldapv3?

Hi,

I am a litle bit confused: Do I use ldap_sasl_bind with null as
mechanism or should I use ldap_simpl_bind, which is marked as
deprecated in ldap.h? I cant´t find really helpful docs about this.
