Well, obviously the process is attached. But why is it dropping your
connection instantly? It should be sitting there, listening for input
data.
I'd:
0) check your libwrap configuration (/etc/hosts.{allow,deny}).
and if you don't find anything there,
1) restart slapd with excessive debugging (-d -1 or similar), telnet
localhost 636, see what's going on.
