The samba aspects (e.g. anything about a SID) belong on the samba mailing lists IMHO.
OpenLDAP configuration, use of OpenLDAP utilities, ACLs for samba to use would be on-topic. The grey area would be LDAP aspects in the smb.conf file or similar.
