I would use the current RE24 source to pick up some fixes since 2.4.35. 
It's finally been stable for me with that in place.  You may or may not 
want to set two flags for mdb:

olcDbEnvFlags: writemap
olcDbEnvFlags: nometasync

I set them myself.
