porting an old bdb wrapper to lmdb - any tips/docs?

Hi -

I'm going to port a Smalltalk BerkeleyDB wrapper that was created in 2002 to 
LMDB.  


Are there any docs that might help me get my bearings?  


I've found the ones in the LMDB source code/doxygen site.
