The OpenLDAP 2.4 series is deprecated and no longer supported. You should be on a minimum of OpenLDAP 2.5. Additionally, OpenLDAP deprecated the BDB backends in the OpenLDAP 2.4 series, you should use the back-mdb backend instead. OpenLDAP 2.5 and later no longer have any support for BDB based backends.
