openlp fails to start in ubuntu

Bug description:
I am using Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS and tried to start Openlp - without
success.
I Installed Openlp from the dev ppa and actually I am running rev. 1184. I am
using gnome.
starting it from the terminal does not result in a outupt, and starting it
with the logging option results in the following log:
