The one time so far that I've successfully been able to start OpenLP from within eric on Windows, I got a QPaint error at around the same place as the OP. (Runs fine from command line).
Since then I've been completely unable to start OpenLP in eric, don't know why. Sometimes after launching ppt, sometimes before. I have erased every file and directory linked to openlp, in program files or documents and settings, even cleaned the registry, nothing works.
