My understanding was that some users were after a semblance of access control for the remote. This is helpful/important if you are handing out your stage view URL for various purposes but don't want others to be able to control the remote. At the moment, you can't give "read" access without also giving "write" access.
Is that not what this enhancement is about? Or perhaps it's a pre-requisite for it?
