OpenLP fails to start on Ubuntu 14.04

Bug description:
I get a logo and then nothing else. This happened after a recent
update of Ubuntu. I know its pre release but thought it might be good
to be prepared since lots of folks will be upgrading. My system is
pretty much the default setup its what we use on Sundays so I have
done little tinkering.
