Open LP crashes and closes after a few seconds of the logo

Bug description:
We have just had our PA system updated to display on large HD tv screens, and
were trying to configure openlp to fit the screens.
Having typed in what we thought were the correct numbers in to the theme and
configure areas, it still did not appear to work properly.
At the same time, someone tried to exit the live display using ALT-F4.
We don't know if it's our configurating, Alt F4 or something else that
has caused this problem.
We have tried uninstalling and re-installing openlp (although the back
up of the old files were still on the computer - don't know if that
would make a difference?), resetting it to an older, backed up version
from last year - and still it will not open.
Any suggestions gratefully received, as we think OpenLP is a wonderful
tool, and would hate to have to lose it and go back to powerpoints!!
The operating system is Vista, we were running version 2 of openlp.
To reproduce the error: set height and width in configuration to 1920 x 1080
and same in theme manager for the default theme
escape from live show of song
reset configuration to 1920 x 1080 for x and y, and 0 for height and width -
show live song - press escape - press alt -F4 - escape.
