I just came by an Ubuntu 15.10 machine and tested a bit... I see the same issue as you mention, including the terminal post and media not playing with the system-player (which also powers the linked-audio-player). After a bit of googling I tried to install libqt5multimedia5-plugins, but that just replaced the original terminal warning with some GLib/GStreamer errors. And then OpenLP just hangs at the splash-screen... This new problem seems to be similar to this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/music-app/+bug/1363314
So for now my conclusion is: QtMultimedia support is broken on Ubuntu 15.10. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of OpenLP Core, which is subscribed to OpenLP. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1548136 Title: Unable to play linked audio in 2.4 Status in OpenLP: Incomplete Bug description: I am unable to get linked audio to play for songs in 2.4 (upgrading from the .deb file in comments on announcement post). We had no issues in 2.3. Terminal posts 'defaultServiceProvider::requestService(): no service found for - "org.qt-project.qt.mediaplayer"'.
