New users are unable to login due

Fix Released
Bug description:
A new user registers with the website. They do not get an option to choose a
password during registration.
Once they have registered, they receive a link to a "one time login" with a
message saying that it will verify their account and log them in. It also
states "in the future you will be able to log in using the username and
password that you created during registration." (note the user cannot choose a
password during registration.)
Similar problems occur if you select the forgot password link
