Unable to Add User into Usergroups

Environment: Ubuntu 10.04 and Centos 5.4 with all required plugins
(ffmpeg, imagemagick, sox. lame, swftools etc.)

Installation and configuration done, working fine witt admin user and even able
to create user using "Not member Option" but when creating new user manually
and trying to assign
a New or old group, its startflashing and stuck on screen, seems like something
is wrong with java or database.
