A couple more things that need to be done: Edit:
/usr/src/om/red5/webapps/openmeetings/conf/hibernate.cfg.xml
and add your mysql credentials
then edit /etc/my.cnf and add:
mysqld (in straight brackets)
default-character-set=utf8
character-set-server=utf8
at the bottom.
Then drop (delete) the openmeetings database, restart mysql & re-run the
installation. Found here:
