thanks for submitting the patch.

I do not really understand your patch:
the folder src/META-INFO does not exist and is also never compiled into the resulting distribution. How did you test the results? If you run ant dist => how does the persistance.xml get compiled into the distribution?

Where are the JPA lib's ? I mean where is for example the "openjpa-2.1.0.jar".

Why is there are new hibernate library necessary to run the code? Why is hibernate necessary at all? The migration to OpenJPA means that we remove any reference to hibernate. That is required for Apache incubation. Or is this patch a first step in that direction?
