I don't see a problem in clearing the fields when you hit the "plus" icon. Adding a logic that asks about any changes made with a confirmation like "You made changes, want to save?" is kind of an extended task. Maybe this can be added to a future roadmap but it won't be part of an Version 2.0 release.
