the First Option about Jjrdesktop is in the SVN but not released. I didn't measure the Bandwidth with jrdesktop yet. But it sends more screens, so I don't know if that is improving or not the bandwidth.
The second Option is already available in 0.7 RC2. You can swithc on/ off your video just like you want it. And of course this has impact to your bandwidth needs. sebastian On 3 Mrz., 08:41, deadwait <[email protected]> wrote: > hi, > im facing the bad bandwidth error, and i read somewhere on the mailing > list archives that it is solved in the development version. > im current using 0.7rc2 , i just wanted to know when will the new > version with jrdesktop be released . > i really dont know how to compile in java. > also is there a option for video switching, based on voice > eg: when i have a conference with say 7 people , instead of having 7 > windows with everyones cam, can i just have two windows, one with my > cam and the other window will keep switching video based on who's > talking. > and if such a think does get implemented, do you think it will save > network bandwidth. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "OpenMeetings User" group.
