this issue in particular depends on several things: 1) I could implement, relatively easy, an desktop-recorder, that works similar to the desktop-viewer. The problem here is the bandwidth Issue. 2) The other solution is to go back to a previous version, where I simulate all events on the whiteboard. The Issue we went away from it is that you cannot seek in that setup, or export the recording as movie. 3) The third and also long term but best solution would be to use a *desktop-viewer-like* applicaiton to record the desktop, but to rework it in a way to be able to do a real streaming of the desktop (1) and then implement a codec inside of it to reduce bandwidth (2). Of course this will be most time eating but also the approach i would like to go.
Option 2) would be less bandwidth, actuall it would be exactly the same like a normal meeting. But its not very reliable for 30-60 minutes recordings, if you simulate all events in the client... for example if you load a big document in a recorded session => the audio/video is maybe out of sync, et cetera. Thats why I went away from that. sebastian 2009/3/3 Wayne <[email protected]> > > The thing that would help us the most is being able to record an > OpenMeeting session that includes a PowerPoint presentation on the > whiteboard.
