I have opened ports 5080, 8088, 1935(rtmp) or 8443 (rtmps - see rtmpport and rtmpsslport in config.xml) for incoming connections. Port 9999 does not need to open for the client.
Also OpenMeetings make outbound connections to the a) mail server b) ldap server.
