Hi, there are multiple ways to get openmeetings to run on machine
1) run it from eclipse 2) export as a war from ecplise, and deploy to a server 3) build a complete distribution using ant build and then deploy to server you can see through all the possibilities later when you get a hang of things 1) to start download the openmeetings zip download available on the openmeetings home page 2) extract it, you will get a folder red5 with openmeetings in it. 3) now you have to install apache tomcat server onto your machine 4) copy the extracted folder red5 into the tomcat "webapp" folder 5) install mysql, create a database named "openmeetings", dont forget to set it to utf8 6) now you will find a conf folder inside ur tomcat webapp->red5 webapp->opemeetings folder inside that change the username and password field of "hibernate.cfg.xml" to your current mysql installation login username and password 7) now start your red5 service using red5.bat inside your red5 folder and then check http://localhost:5080/ if you can see the red5 homepage 8) http://localhost:5080/openmeetings/install to complete openmeetings installation if any error do check your logs present inside "log" folder that should complete your installation of basic openmeetings after which you need to take care of all the converter installations once you have this done, you can build using the instructions given on site and update your installation using the update information given on site.
