Hallo Romulo,

have a look at:
http://code.google.com/p/openmeetings/source/browse#svn/trunk/singlewebapp/WebContent/openmeetings

everything inside the
1) *base* folder are LZX Files that are general components like textboxes,
lists, rpc-components et cetera ... that are used in several parts of the
application.
There are also some base-method and attributes classes/files in that
directory
2) *modules* folder are LZX-Files that certain modules like, chat,
whiteboard, admin-forms et cetera
3) *plugin* folder are LZX-Files that are certain modules but that are
either not directly part of the main distribution or developed for certain
packages of OpenMeetings

Also have a look at the wiki, that are some links on how to get started with
OpenLaszlo.

To easily compile only the client side there are some ant-tasks:
http://code.google.com/p/openmeetings/wiki/BuildSourceNew?tm=4#How_to_build_a_distribution
Compiling the Client Side only is much faster then doing a complete
re-compile of the hole distro.
