The aim of this project is to bring new functionalities in Openmeetings in order to adapt for the use of an interactive whiteboard. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interactive_whiteboard) For example, we want to integrate a system of mathematical handwriting recognition.
Precisely, we use Openmeetings like a software platform. The external whiteboard allows use on a larger scale and corresponds to what we see on the virtual whiteboard. Instead of editing documents on the computer, researchers can do on this external whiteboard. This external whiteboard is linked to the computer with Openmeetings running on it. A video projector displays what we see on the screen of the computer (Openmeetings, virtual whiteboard etc..). And we can edit as if we edit on the computer. As I said before, the problem of reactivity on the external whiteboard prevents editing documents quickly. For the moment, we try to improve this speed of reaction with external whiteboard but it's not easy. Have you got an idea or advice about this problem? Hoping to have been more clear and precise.
