i think you should fix your repository list before you start

i dont own a centos machine, but i think you should check 
/etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Base.repo
and enable the repos. yum update should do the job 
(http://linux.die.net/man/8/yum)

after that you should be able to find the packages i described
