you mean you are not able to run it as service, well the red5.sh is the only
startscript (besides red5-highperf.sh) that we include.

If you have problems with paths I guess it has something todo with the
startup script or modifications that you do on your system.

There are attempts to make OpenMeetings a package in the official Debian
Repository, you might back / support that one:
