Thanks for the response.

I was seeing the error message when I sniffed the traffic between the
two devices using the 'tcpflow' command.  However, I was finally able
to get the configuration correct today.  When I had the "Add Domain to
username" box checked it wasn't working but once I unchecked it and
still used the uid of the user to login, it worked.
