A hash is generated for a meeting in room 19, but room 19 is missing in
invitations; although this had been done before. I did then a restart of the
system and now room 20 is in table invitations and the timesetting seems to
be correct too.

Now invitation says for Room 20: valid from
2011-08-31 11:40:00 to 2011-08-31 20:00:00

But if i try to connect right now, which is 11:42, it still tells me "Your
invitation code is no valid...."

If i check the logfile for the expression "exception", it wont find
anything.

Best

the table conferencelog will not contain any log as long as you did not
really enter the conference room.
The table to look at is the table *invitations*.
I am pretty sure there is an entry if there is a hash generated.
Next thing to check is of course the red5/openmeetings log if it contains
any exceptions.

Interestingly, the table appointments doesn't seem to contain any data.

And it doesn't add a new meeting tot he conferencelog either.

Best and thank you

The link is okay.
You could have a quick look into the database in the table appointement and
check if the start/end time is okay.
In the table invitations I think that start and end time of the invitation
hash itself is written.

Do not forget to stop Red5 if you manipulate values in the database, cause
the database cache of OpenMeetings will have to re-start if you manipulate
db values manually.

I understand. But, if i setup an onlinemeeting @ 8:15 with a duration of 5
hrs, then i should be able to connect @ 8:30, or even later, as long as the
meeting is running. But i am not able to connect with this link at all, the
Link given in SugarCRM is different, because it contains more data at the
end like this: http://example.com:5080/openmeetings/scopeRoomId=17
<http://example.com:5080/openmeetings/scopeRoomId=17&secureHash=dd61094effc3
48a458c32b2629c1a881&language=2&lzproxied=solo>
&secureHash=dd61094effc348a458c32b2629c1a881&language=2&lzproxied=solo

So i am wondering, whether the link from the Email might be not valid at
all.

Thank you

Best.

The Link in the Email is only valid FOR THE TIME OF THE MEETING.

Maybe we will include that time in the error message in the future that is
shown when you use the link before or after the meeting did take place.

I've installed OM 1.7.1 and SugarCRM 5.1.0c since 6.1 didn't let me
enter the credentials for connection to OM and crashed my SugarCRM
installation.

I also setup one Meeting in SugarCRM which really worked.

Every meeting after i set up and sent out invites, clicking on the
Meeting URL tells me:

You invitation code is no valid, the code is only valid for a period
of time.

The Meeting URL Link looks like this:

http://example.com:5080/openmeetings/?invitationHash=af3d731a69f472c8af2e268
80a74b5c5

Interesting enough, although SugarCRM uses Europe Berlin as time zone
and the Ubuntu 10.04 also runs on Time Zone Europe Berlin, the Start
time of the meeting is one hour ahead. So i did a login to the admin
users profile and set the time Zone and country again. Now it works,
the starting time is correct, but now i am missing the meeting URL,
which was shown before.

What i did from yesterday evening to today:

following this guide: http://kwlug.org/node/715 i went ahead and did
the startupscript section, which worked out the way, that i do not
need a ssh connection anymore to run OM.

Any help is truly appreciated.

Best
Holger Schramm
