Resolved in my environment using the following:
Step 1) Updated configuration path for 'sox' to '/usr/bin'
Step 2) Update for 'ffmpeg'
sudo apt-get install ffmpeg libavcodec-extra-52
Step 3) Stop the server
/etc/init.d/red5 stop
Step 4) Start the server
/etc/init.d/red5 start
